I was woken up this morning by my neighbours singing an acoustic version of 9-5 by Dolly Parton. It was so cute. I have no plans this weekend and i’m chuffed, I couldn’t tell you the last time I had nothing to do. We’ll see if that was actually the case on Monday. My brother is coming for lunch today, Roll out the red carpet.
Salads:
Braised pinto beans with courgette
Lemon + garlic rice
Roast pepper + tomato pasta
Beef ragu with polenta croutons
Soup: Tuscan tomato
I am feeling so uninspired. Life is a little stagnant at the moment. It’s rainy and the general vibe is miserable. I’m hoping a stitch of sunshine and a couple bank holidays will bring me back to fighting form but right now i’m struggling to keep the crowds entertained.
Salads:
Ginger + turmeric chickpeas
Edamame + crispy shallot rice
Smokey tomato + French bean pasta
Coconut aduki bean with tofu
Soup: Indian spiced red lentils
Tooting tonight, snooker night. But first, work. I’m in constant talks with different builders about our leaking roof. We’re having a mere. I would love to come to work and dedicate myself to sandwiches and salads but it seems i’ve become a surveyor for the time being. It’s not for me, i’m a DIY queen but this roof is nightmare.
Salads:
Med veg lentils
Red pepper rice
Roast vegetable ragu pasta
Soup: White bean, roast pepper + tomato
Sandwich: Mortadella ham, Provola cheese, jalapeno relish + tomato
Who’s been chatting all morning and neglected their work? This bitch right here. I’m now playing catch up but i’m working in incognito so that Mother doesn’t notice i’m behind. I check bumped a customer and was nearly knocked across the room, you' will never catch me playing rugby. How do players withstand the impact?
Salads:
Coconut curry + aduki beans
Tofu + ginger rice
Sausage + ham pasta
Roast vegetable panzanella with salted ricotta
Soup: Indian spiced squash + potato
It was a painful weekend thanks to the gym. Usually when my muscles ache I feel good, a sense of achievement. I accidentally trained my shoulders which lead to an excruciating headache throughout my Sunday. That, mixed with fasting, made me a pathetic mess. Here’s to a new week, British summertime begins.

White bean + rainbow peppers
Spinach + herb rice
Courgette + tomato pasta
Braised beans with bacon
Soup: Vegetable madras
Sandwich: Speck ham, brie, Chilli relish + tomato
I woke up at 7am, I am suppose to enter the deli at 7am. Not a great start however I am well rested. I have my first driving lesson today. I’d be lying if I said i’m not nervous. I think I’ll be a great driver, As an Italian I’ve got my angry gestures on point.
Salads:
Curried lentils
Lemon + coconut rice
Roast squash ragu pasta
Soup: Moroccan spiced chickpea
I got in before dawn today to smack out a bulk sandwich order. I have remained in a good mood all morning and now I get to do a shift on the sandwich section (which is my happy place). Don’t ask me how I am because I don’t want to think about my problems/feelings right now. I’m just vibing.
Salads:
Chilli non carne
Spinach + herb rice
Smokey aubergine + tomato pasta
Soup: Spiced sweet potato
I have a weekly habit of going on skyscanner and planning a trip that I don’t book. I can accept that I want to run away from my problems. The roof is leaking, the oven is broken and everyday I receive an email from a supplier about rising prices. I just do as Dory said ‘just keep swimming’.

Black bean + aubergine
Edamame + crispy shallot rice
Cauliflower + cashew pesto pasta
Crab stick noodle salad
Soup: Lightly spiced sweetcorn + ginger
Sandwich: Roast beef, Fontina cheese, Onion relish + tomato
It seems there was a hit an run on Wandsworth road last night. It’s strange that the road is still closed and it’s got all the locals playing Chinese whispers. A quick look on twitter told me it was a collision but there’s been a lot of speculation that it was a stabbing or shooting. Bit dramatic…
Salads:
Braised chickpea + squash
Carrot, leek + dill rice
Sausage + ham pasta
Spinach + ricotta bake
Soup: Potato, courgette + rosemary
Good Morning treacle’s! Did you have a good weekend? I was immensely social (as predicted) but now my focus face has been locked in. This week will be a little more stressful than usual so you’ll have to excuse my concentration face. I tend to look angry when I’m thinking, it’s nothing personal.
Salads:
Black bean coconut curry
Thai aromatic rice
Broccoli, chilli + garlic rice
Soup: Velvet mushroom
Sandwich: Pastrami beef, Brie, Spicy peach relish + tomato
I completed all my tasks yesterday, I went to sleep without any devils in my mind. This weekend will be a social one but next week is set to be beautifully stressful. Let’s hope no one brings in their petty quarrels because I will have no time to sugar coat the truth, straight up savagery is on the menu.
Salads:
Rainbow peppers + pinto beans
Ginger + pumpkin seed rice
Courgette, basil + tomato pasta
Soup: Indian spiced chickpea
Sandwich: Chorizo, Pecorino, Sun-dried tomato + fresh tomato
Bygones will be bygones and I am a mature adult. One must always remember to take the high road when an altercation occurs. I can’t sit here and say that I don’t have thoughts about smacking a human’s head against a wall in the hope that they might see sense. Count to 10 and take a deep breath because you will never please everyone.
Salads:
Med veg lentils
Rosemary + garlic rice
Roast vegetable ragu pasta
Lentil + paneer curry
Soup: Carrot, Ginger + orange

We’re going to IKEA tonight. Is it pathetic that i’m a little excited? I hate cash and carry night because its heavy and boring but IKEA is a different ball game. Mother has said we’re not getting meatballs but I’m sure I can change her mind. Let the manipulation commence.

5 spiced veg + mung bean
Edamame + crispy shallot rice
Parma ham + pea pasta
Egg noodles + tofu with black bean dressing
Soup: Sweet potato, black bean + sweetcorn
Last week made me loose a little faith in humanity. I can’t say I am an optimist when it comes to human behaviour and last week did not help. I have been taught to trust no one and keep your cards close to your chest. For as pessimistic as it sounds that mentality helps more than it hinders. Happy Monday honey.
Salads:
Lentil curry
Ginger + turmeric rice
Leek, black olive + tomato pasta
Spinach + ricotta bake
Soup: Velvet mushroom
Sandwich: Milano salame, Gorgonzola cheese, Spicy peach relish + tomato
Oh Lord. My Mother has always said ‘there is none as strange as folk’. Honey child this is too true. Someone who has been a regular for over a decade behaved so unreasonably yesterday and I checked their attitude in a very professional manner. Strange, strange folk.

Mexican beans
Lemon + rosemary rice
Smokey aubergine + tomato pasta
Soup: Tuscan tomato
Sandwich: Cumberland sausage, Cheese sauce, Honey mustard, Caramelised onion + rocket (served hotdog style)
I listened to The Animals on the way to work. I had a dark cloud over my head yesterday, a defeatist attitude. Today I’m chirpy, I haven’t exactly found a solution to my problems but I’m not going to procrastinate and I think that is a good start. If you see me looking vacantly into the distance do not disturb, my mind is at work.
Salads:
Sriracha spiced aubergine + aduki bean
Miso rice
Creamy tomato, pea + mint pasta
Soup: Thai spiced chickpea
Woke up this morning (thank you lord) and looked out the window to see snow. I exclaimed ‘oh for fuck sake’ which was then echoed by the other two members of the household. I’m not a fan of London snow especially when it’s March and I know it’s just going to effect the price of vegetables.
Salads:
Moroccan spiced lentils
Sumac rice
Roast squash ragu pasta
Soup: Indian spiced chickpea + sweet potato
Sandwich: Parma ham, Asiago cheese, Chilli relish + tomato
Hello, I’ve been here since 5:45am. If I can smack a smile on my face so can you. I had a pain au chocolate before the sun was up. I don’t know why people have viennoiserie for breakfast, it’s such a bad way to start the day. I don’t plan to eat until 6pm and yet I still feel bad for munching fat and sugar first thing.
Salads:
Thai spiced chickpea
Lemongrass + spinach rice
Mushroom ragu pasta
Chorizo + bean braise
Soup: Leek, dill + potato
People keep feeling the need to tell me that it’s going to be freezing this week, I’m trying to keep it out of my mind because I spend a good 3 hours out my house in the evening thanks to my collie and I can feel the cold I don’t need a weatherman to tell me.
